Recognizing the critical importance of aligning curricula with industry expectations, MSBTE has undertaken significant revisions to ensure that diploma students are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for employability. This endeavor, initiated in the academic year 2017-18, underscores MSBTE's dedication to meeting the evolving needs of both students and industries.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a comprehensive survey of the available facilities for technical education and promote development in a coordinated and integrated manner across the country. The AICTE Act was formulated to establish the council, intending to facilitate proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education system throughout India. Its objectives include promoting qualitative improvements in technical education alongside planned quantitative growth, as well as regulating and maintaining norms and standards within the technical education system and related matters.
