An additional 20% candidates are admitted at BTech level under lateral entry scheme based on ECET rank from diploma and BSc streams.
Admissions are primarily given on the basis of ranks in the Common Entrance Test EAMCET conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The selection process is based on the AP EAMCET written exam and web counseling process.
The State Council of Higher Education will issue a notification during June-July in newspapers indicating the dates and ranks of the candidates to be attended for Registration, Verification of Certificates, and Schedule for exercising options and also notify the list of Help-line Centres. The candidates who fail to report for Certificates verification will not be considered for allotment of seats in any of the colleges.

Candidates will be issued a receipt of Certificates at Help-line Centres after Verification.
After the Certificate Verification process is successfully conducted, a Blank Option Form along with the list of colleges, courses, and their codes will be given to all the Candidates. Based on these course codes, the candidates will be asked to write their choice of College and Course code.
Candidates can exercise any number of options and can take printouts if required.
Candidate can change their option entries any number of times during the allotted time. After the allotted time for option entry, if the candidate feels that the option that is entered is not satisfactory, then they can modify the options on the dates notified by the authority. This will be the final opportunity for making any changes in the option entry. In case the candidate fails to make any required changes, the last entered option will be considered as the final choice.
Final Allotments will be placed on the Web. The candidates, with downloaded allotment orders, have to report through the Self-reporting system and report at the allotted college. These two stages are mandatory and mere reporting through self-reporting or reporting at the college is alone not sufficient to retain a seat. If the candidate fails to report through self-reporting and reporting at the allotted college by the dates stipulated, the allotment stands canceled and the candidate will have no claim for further allotment of seats.
