ICAT Design & Media, Hyderabad Admission 

Admission Procedure

ICAT Design & Media offers Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Master’s Degree programs, and Post-Graduate Professional Programs. Students seeking provisional admission for any of the programs at any of the three campuses (Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad) shall go through the following steps. The provisional admission procedure is the same for all the courses across all the campuses of ICAT Design & Media.

Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree Programs

(All courses except Bachelor’s Degree in Game Programming / Computer Science & Game Development and Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design & Development)

Students seeking admission to the Bachelor’s Degree Programs should have completed an education equivalent to Plus Two (Higher Secondary School). All streams of students who will be appearing for their Plus Two or equivalent in 2023 can also apply. Education that is equivalent to Plus Two includes the following boards:

  1. CBSE
  2. State Boards - Nearly every state in India has its state education department and conducts board exams for class 12
  3. Inter Final (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh)
  4. PU Final (Karnataka)
  5. IS
  6. IB
  7. 3 years Diploma from a recognized Board after completing 10th standard* (Conditions Apply)
  8. NIOS* (Conditions Apply)

Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Game Programming / Computer Science & Game Development

Students seeking admission for the Bachelor’s Degree in Game Programming should have completed Plus Two (Higher Secondary School) or equivalent in which Mathematics and Physics (both the subjects are mandatory) were a part. Knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, or C# would brighten the chances of selection, though they are not mandatory. Students who will be appearing for their Plus Two or equivalent in 2023 can also apply. Education that is equivalent to Plus Two includes the following boards:

  1. CBSE
  2. State Boards - Nearly every state in India has its state education department and conducts board exams for class 12
  3. Inter Final (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh)
  4. PU Final (Karnataka)
  5. IS
  6. IB
  7. 3 years Diploma from a recognized Board after completing 10th standard* (Conditions Apply)
  8. NIOS* (Conditions Apply)

Eligibility for Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design & Development

Students seeking admission for the Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design & Development should have completed Plus Two (Higher Secondary School) or equivalent in which Mathematics and Physics were a part). Students who have not taken Mathematics and Physics in Plus Two or equivalent should appear for a special aptitude test conducted by the Department of Game Design & Development. The aptitude test shall consist of questions in logical reasoning, general aptitude, Mathematics (10th Level), and Physics (10th Level). Applicants who fail to clear the test shall not be awarded the seat for this course. Education that is equivalent to Plus Two includes the following boards:
