Admissions to UG courses at the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) are granted based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For PG courses, the university conducts its entrance test.
At the UG level, IGNTU offers programs such as B.A., B.Com, BJMC, BBA, and B.Pharm. Eligibility for these undergraduate programs requires a minimum of 40%-50% in the 10+2 examination. Admission is determined by CUET scores, and candidates are selected based on merit. A merit list is prepared in descending order of CUET scores, and qualified candidates proceed to the subsequent rounds of the admission process.
Section I: Comprising Section IA and Section IB, it includes 13 languages (IA) and 20 languages (IB). Candidates choose one language from each section.
Section II: Domain-specific test where candidates select specific domains from a list of 27, influencing their university choice.
Section III: A general test covering General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical, and Analytical Reasoning.
After CUET results are announced, candidates participate in counseling rounds, during which they can choose colleges based on their preferences.
