Library Facilities 

The lending service operates from 8 AM to 8 PM, providing comprehensive access to reading materials. The well-equipped reading room, back-volume section, and extensive information in the index and reference section contribute to a conducive study environment. The digital library facilitates access to various e-journal resources. NIT Agartala's library boasts a collection of over 34,000 books and 200 journals. Additionally, scanning and high-speed copying services are available.

Computer Facilities 

NIT Agartala features a central computer lab with a centralized server, ensuring efficient operations. Each terminal is equipped with a broadband connection. The institute benefits from dedicated internet connections for official purposes through VSAT-ERNET. The intranet facilitates file sharing and communication within the campus. The entire campus is seamlessly connected via Wi-Fi and a WiMAX wireless backbone.

Hostel Facilities 

NIT Agartala provides accommodation for both boys and girls, with six boys' hostels and two girls' hostels. To secure a place in the hostel, students need to complete an admission form and pay the relevant fees specified by the authorities.

Banking and Postal Services

The State Bank of India operates a branch with an ATM on the institute site, and the institute's post office is named NIT Agartala, PIN - 799046. 

Medical Assistance Facilities 

The IT, Agartala infrastructure includes a well-equipped medical unit staffed by two senior medical officers, pharmacists, and support staff. The medical unit extends its services to students, staff, and visitors. In case of emergencies, patients can be referred to Jirania Rural Hospital (Primary Health Centre), located 4 km away, or the state hospital in Agartala.

Communication 

Private bus services are available from Agartala to the institute campus during working hours. In emergencies, multiple buses, jeeps, and private vehicles operate on NH-44. While students are generally required to use the bus service, exceptions may be granted under special circumstances.

Extra-Curricular Activities

NIT Agartala encourages a variety of co-curricular activities sponsored by the state government and statutory bodies. These activities include games, sports, debates, cultural functions, essay competitions, drama competitions, rallies on various themes, and NSS programs. Participation in NSS or NCC is mandatory for all students.
