Admission:

IIIT Vadodara B.Tech. Admission 2026-27

At IIIT Vadodara, B.Tech. is offered under the following two specializations-

1. Computer Science Engineering
   
2. Information Technology

B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility to apply for the course is 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects. 

IIIT Vadodara B.Tech. Selection Criteria

1. Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the JEE (Main) followed by a round of counseling.
2. Based upon the merit in the written examination, the Central Counseling Board of JEE (Main) will invite the candidates for counseling at selected centers and seats for various participating institutions are allotted, based upon individual merit.
   

Note- Candidates with an M.Sc in CS/IT/Statistics or Mathematics are also eligible for admission.

1. Those appearing in the final year examination of their qualifying degree can also apply for M.Tech.
   
2. If selected, such candidates must submit a provisional degree certificate by September 29.

M.Tech. Selection Criteria

The final selection of the candidates will be based on GATE scores and overall academic record of the candidate.

IIIT Vadodara Ph.D. Admission 2026-27

Ph.D. is offered in two major disciplines of Engineering and Science by IIIT Vadodara. The basic eligibility to apply for the Ph.D. program is a Master’s degree in the relevant field.

IIIT Vadodara Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Engineering

1. First-class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas
2. Or First-class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas
3. Or Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on a scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.

Science

1. M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science and related area
2. Or M.Tech. Material Science/Nano-Technology/Applied Optics/Engineering Physics/Scientific Computing
3. Or exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on a scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.

IIIT Vadodara Ph.D. Selection Criteria

1. Admission to Ph.D. is based on a written exam followed by an interview.
2. GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET/UGC-JRF qualified candidates will be preferred during the admission process. 
3. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance in the written exam and interview.
4. Selected candidates will be required to produce all the relevant documents for verification.
