Indore Institute of Science and Technology (IIST) offers a range of B.E/B.Tech courses at the undergraduate level, each spanning a duration of four years. The intake capacity for these courses varies across different specializations.
To be eligible for admission to the B.E/B.Tech courses, candidates must have passed their Qualifying Examination (10+2 or Equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories must secure at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
Admission to the B.Tech/B.E. program is based on candidates' performance in the JEE (Main) examination. Prospective candidates can apply for the JEE Main examination through the NTA official website. Following successful clearance of JEE Main, candidates need to participate in centralized counseling conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. During counseling, candidates select their preferred college and courses, locking them in preferential order. Subsequently, DTE MP allocates colleges and courses based on students' choices. Any remaining vacancies after JEE Main DTE-MP counseling are filled on a merit basis.
DTE Counseling:
- Counseling occurs in multiple phases.
- The first phase is for candidates with JEE Main ranks.
- The second phase caters to candidates who did not appear for JEE Main but possess qualifying marks in Higher Secondary.
- The final phase is for candidates with either a JEE Main rank or qualifying marks who did not apply in the initial two phases.
IIST Indore offers a Master of Engineering (M.E)
At the postgraduate level, IIST Indore offers a Master of Engineering (M.E) program in Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, and Computer Science, each lasting for two years with an intake capacity of 18 seats per program.
Candidates seeking admission to the M.E program must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline and have completed their education in the 10+2+4 pattern. Admission to the M.E program is through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
For applicants seeking admission based on their Qualifying examination, they must directly apply for counseling conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh.

- Upon successful submission of relevant details, applicants must download and print the generated “Bank Challan” to remit the required application fee.

- Enter the bank transaction details via the applicant’s login and upload the bank challan receipt to complete the registration process.
