B.Tech. – Undergraduate Programmes
The institute provides four undergraduate (B.Tech.) programs in engineering, operating on a semester system. The academic year, spanning from July to April is divided into two semesters—Autumn and Spring—each approximately 16 weeks long. The initial semester begins in the last week of July and concludes by the last week of November, while the second semester starts in the first week of January and concludes by the last week of April. In the first year, students are required to register for relevant courses listed in the curriculum for each of the two semesters.
The B.Tech programs encompass eight semesters across four years. In the first semester, all branches share a common curriculum, while subsequent semesters have diverse curricula based on the program chosen by students.
The institute employs a credit system where credits are assigned to courses based on the weekly number of lectures, tutorials, and laboratory hours. Students' performance in a course is continually assessed throughout the semester and results in the assignment of a Grade on a 10-point scale. Semester Performance Index (SPI) quantifies performance within a semester, calculated as the weighted average of grade points secured in all registered courses. Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) represents the weighted average of grade points obtained in all courses registered since the student joined the institute.

Admission for M.Tech. Programmes:
Admissions to the diverse M.Tech. programs are available annually, contingent on candidates' GATE scores. All eligible applicants must enroll on the 'Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP)'. After a successful COAP registration, candidates are mandated to register on the M.Tech. application portal of IIT Goa. Those desiring to confirm an offer from IIT Goa must fulfill the fee payment within the stipulated time window provided in COAP.
