The IITM, Kanpur training & placement department has been established since the inception of the institute to complement our efforts in providing quality education by AICTE requirements and AKTU syllabi. The department comprises experienced faculty with credentials in the corporate world along with experienced faculty members and administrative staff.

The department is sensitive to the demand for skilled professionals required in the manufacturing and services sector and therefore our efforts can be outlined as follows: Regular interface with the manufacturing and services sector by organizing guest lectures for the students.

1. Personality development program to enhance communication skills and other interpersonal skills.
2. Co-relation of teaching topics with their applications in a real-time environment.
3. Preparing the students to face group discussions and personal interviews.
4. Train them to work on defined road maps after securing a job with a focus on organizational behavioral skills.
