Library

The Indian Institute Of Tourism And Travel Management library provides students, faculty members, and researchers, with reference material on a wide range of tourism and other related subjects. The primary aim is to equip them with books authored by well-known foreign and Indian experts on tourism and related disciplines. At the end of 2008-09, there were more than 9521 books at Gwalior, 4500 at Bhubaneswar, and 1600 at Delhi libraries respectively. There are a fairly large number of magazines, periodicals, journals, video cassettes, and audiotapes available in the library at Gwalior. The institute is subscribing more then 150 nationals and international journals/ periodicals in hard copy, and more then 250 journals in electronic mode. IITTM library resources are considered one of the best in Management and Tourism in South Asia.

Student Activites

•IITTM constantly endeavors to groom young enthusiastic Managers . The institute takes full care to arm them with all the firepower necessary to take on the corporate world.

•To chisel every aspect of the individual's personality, various activities are carried out so that the individual not only sharpens skills but infuses the qualities that are indispensable for future Managers.

•Each year students participate in the institute’s various cultural events, sports meets, and literary and social throughout. Apart from annual function celebrations such activities are carried out through out the year.

Academic Club

It drives student initiatives in various academic activities in the institute. The club hosts paper presentations, quizzes, case contests, entrepreneurship games, talks by eminent speakers, seminars, and workshops. The club encourages tie-ups with NGOs, youth clubs, and social organizations to contribute their learning to society.

Cultural Club- Symphony

IITTM aims at chiseling and molding personalities so that they are a unique blend of humanistic scholarship and artistic creation. Whether you are interested in visual art, music, literature, dance, or any other field of art, the Club has something to offer everyone. Every month the club meets on the institute premises for interesting activities. Renowned artists from various fields are invited to interact with the students. Workshops by celebrities are held in a variety of different fields to help inculcate an interest in developing skills.

Sports Club

•A variety of activities are organised by the Club as a part of overall personality development of the students. The club participates in many local tournaments. Friendly fixtures with local clubs and institutions are organized frequently.

•Yoga, Cricket, Soccer, volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and many more are provided by the Club. The well-equipped gym provides opportunities for students to tone their muscles

Literary Club

•It is dedicated to students sharing literary interests. The purpose of this club is to offer a relaxing and intellectual platform for students to exchange ideas, emotions, and theories on select readings through creative writing, debating, and quizzing.

•The Wall magazine is a reflection of the literary and painting skills of the students. From poems and puzzles to articles and stories, there is a wide variety of contributions on display. The editorial board conducts regular competitions to encourage these talents.

Movie Club

It encourages students to break free from the pressures of study and take time to savour the pleasures of entertainment. Popular Hollywood and Bollywood movies are screened in the auditorium.

Tour and Adventure Activities

Apart from supporting a wide range of activities that serve the professional and intellectual interests of the students, the institute organizes various sightseeing, adventure, and destination tours for students at Manali, Goa, Rajasthan, Kerala, Dharamsala, Patni Top, and many more places.

Hostel

•The Indian Institute Of Tourism And Travel Management Hostel accommodation is available for boys. To provide an environment conducive to academic and personal development, all residents are required to follow a code of conduct. The hostel has in-house availability of meals, breakfast, and tea prepared in an extremely hygienic condition.
