The majority of students who are placed in IET are in service-based IT businesses (such as Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and Musigma). In MP, where 80–90% of students were placed, IET is renowned for having strong placement patterns. The typical pay rate is 3.5 LPA. Students from the Cs, IT, E&TC, and E&I branches are placed in the aforementioned service-based IT organizations. Compared to CSE and IT students, chances in the civil and mechanical fields are less abundant. Mahindra and Prisma Cement visit IET in order to place students on campus. However, students studying engineering and civil engineering are frequently hired by IT firms.
