•Admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) course offered by IHM Bhubaneshwar is done based on merit. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board of education. The course has a duration of 3 years.
•Applications for admission to the institute courses can be submitted through offline mode. Candidates can obtain the application form directly from the college or download it from the college website. Duly filled-in applications can be submitted along with the supporting documents within the stipulated time.
The minimum qualification for admission is a pass certificate in the final examination of the 10+2 system or its equivalent. The candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination. Those appearing in the 10+2 final or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2019 to be considered on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand canceled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the concerned Institute by a stipulated time. If an applicant is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will be canceled. Admission will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents to be produced by the candidate. The decision of the National Council regarding eligibility shall be final.
•For candidates from the General and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 22 years as of 01.07.2019. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1997 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years as of 01.07.2019. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after July 01, 1994, are eligible. The upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be the authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counseling /admission.
•A pass in the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination
•Admission for the Certificate and Diploma courses is done based on merit. Candidates must possess a graduate degree in any field from a recognized university to apply for the Diploma course.
•For admission to certificate courses, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board of education with English as one of the subjects. Candidates will be selected based on scores obtained in the qualifying examination.
