For General MBA, the institute considers the CMAT score followed by Counselling. For admission into specializations, candidates have to appear in the entrance test conducted by the university.
IMS, DAVV also offers an Integrated MBA and Executive MBA.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility to apply for the desired program.

Eligibility for General MBA and other MBA programs

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates of Madhya Pradesh only).
Those who are in the final year of their Graduation can also apply.
The upper age limit for male candidates is 28 years on July 1. A relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit is provided to SC/ST/OBC candidates.
For candidates belonging to the Physically Challenged category, the upper limit is 35 years.
NOTE - For General MBA, students must possess a valid CMAT scorecard.

To apply for this MBA program, applicants must have an MBBS, BDS, B.Sc (Nursing), B.Pharm, BBA (HA) or another medical degree equivalent to MBBS and one-year internship from a recognized university with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH candidates of MP only).
Final-year candidates are also eligible.
There is no age limit.
IMS, DAVV MBA Selection Criteria
The selection criteria differ for General MBA and other MBA programs. One can check the complete criteria below.

Candidates have to take part in the DTE counseling process conducted by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
After registration and submission of CMAT scores at the counseling website, a merit list will be released depending upon the score obtained by candidates.
This list will contain the names of students who have to be present for the counseling round.
Such applicants have to visit the Reporting Centre where they will go through the document verification and choice-filling process.
If students are allotted a seat as per the choices filled during any of the counseling rounds then they need to submit the documents online at the DTE counseling website.
Further, they have to pay a part of the course fees to confirm the seat.
The remaining course fee will be paid when reporting to the institute, completing the final stage of the admission process.
Lastly, applicants need to report at the Institute of Management, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya to complete the admission process

For all other MBA programs, the university will conduct an entrance test.
Those who obtain merit in this test are selected for admission.
Therefore, the final selection for an MBA in Financial Administration, Human Resources, Marketing Management, Disaster Management, Hospital Management, and E-Commerce solely depends upon the merit of the entrance test.
