Institute Of Science And Technology, Hyderabad library was established for the erstwhile IPGSR (Institute of Post Graduate Studies and Research) on a vast floor of JNT University's main campus at Masab Tank, Hyderabad. In 1990, it was renovated into a university library. In 2004, the university library moved to a new building with an area of ?? 45,000 square feet and expanded to three floors in the Kukatpally campus. The library is located in the center of the campus, keeping in mind the accessibility of all units. The University Library serves the needs of all JNTUH universities and member universities. The university library is a center that supports the teaching and research activities of the university.
The University Library facilitates book lending, a reference department, a document distribution service, a current awareness service, selective dissemination of information (SDI), database search, CD burning, reprographic service, meeting rooms, and online information services through Online Public Catalog (OPAC). and the Internet, access to e-magazines, e-books, e-lectures and other multimedia content.
The university has various seminar halls to accommodate different sizes of conferences or events depending on the requirement to conduct international/national conferences, workshops, and mini-workshops.
The Institute Of Science And Technology, Hyderabad has two auditoriums, Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, and UGC Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1050 and 330 respectively, which are used for meetings, conferences, workshops, university/college functions, etc. In addition to the above, all colleges/units have seminars. and conference rooms to meet academic requirements.
The Institute Of Science And Technology, Hyderabad has a health center with 08 beds and an emergency room. The health center is managed by a full-time doctor who works under the state board and is supported by a pharmacy and staff. The center also has visiting doctors on-site two days a week. The health center has 4 general departments and 4 conference rooms.
All colleges/units of JNTUH have hostels for both boys and girls. Inns are under the control of each principal/director. The faculty appoints one hostel manager for each college/unit and one assistant warden for each hostel to look after the students. Student representatives are also involved in the maintenance of the hostels. Gayatri Hostel, a girls' hostel, was built on the main campus of Kukatpally, Hyderabad, this year. Currently, the college has 3 hostels for boys. The college provides hostel facilities to about 800 boys. Due to increasing demand from students, 2 more hostels are proposed to be built as per the XI plan. one for boys with a capacity of 240 students. The university has prioritized the establishment of a dormitory for IST students.
Currently, the college has 2 hostels for girls. The college provides hostel facilities for around 530 girls. one for girls with a capacity of 240 students.
The department is headed by a professor of exercise science and supported by two assistant physical directors and two provincial officers. The university extensively promotes sports and games through its colleges, institutes, and schools. Students participate in various events and games both inside and outside the university and bring laurels to our university.
