National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was established and working efficiently to achieve its objectives since 2009.
The campus has a very spacious mess: equipped with furniture, and other facilities, Students dining in the mess are free to decide their menu for the week. Care is taken regarding the taste, hygiene, and nutritional value of the food. Due importance is given to the choices of the students from different locations in India, which gives them a feeling of home-cooked food, away from home.
With a view to awakening the students to the needs of nation-building, social awareness, and social upliftment the National Cadet Corps has been established in IPS. NCC offers ample opportunities for students to learn and contribute in these fields. This unit of our College is quite dynamic and is committed to providing our students with opportunities to participate in a wide array of activities, and the students can choose either, depending on their interests. While the NSS unit regularly organizes Blood Donation Camps and social awareness campaigns for our students to participate in, the NCC offers them basic military training. Students enrolled with the NCC unit are instructed in rifle shooting, the use of ammunition, basic first-aid, mountaineering, and trekking through tough terrains, along with participation in drills and parades.
The College has a fleet of buses to provide transportation facilities to students and staff. Bus routes are well planned to cover all the areas of the city and some areas of the outskirts. Each bus is equipped with a first aid box and fire extinguisher.
It is College policy to provide first aid support if someone is injured or becomes unwell on College premises, or whilst engaged in activities associated with Academic life.
