Admission Criteria

for NEET-BDS (Dental Undergraduate) Courses at MGV's KBH Dental College and Hospital:

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  2. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) applicants should have completed their 10th and 12th grades in Maharashtra State should be domiciled in Maharashtra or have lived in the state for a minimum of 10 years. 
  3. NRI candidates are only eligible for institutional quota seats, not for other seats.
  4. The upper age limit is 25 years, extendable to 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
  5. Maharashtra domicile is mandatory.
  6. Candidates must possess a medical fitness certificate in the specified format at the time of document verification.
  7. Completion of SSC or equivalent from a Maharashtra-based institution is required.
  8. Passing the HSC/12th Standard or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and zoology) from a Maharashtra-based institution is essential.
  9. For the Open Category, a minimum of 50% marks (150 out of 300) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined in the HSC (or equivalent) Examination is mandatory.
  10. Constitutional reservation and PWD claimants must secure at least 40% (120 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined in the HSC (or equivalent) Examination.  PWD candidates in the General category must obtain no less than 45% marks (135 out of 300) in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) or as per the respective central council's decision. 
  11. Attaining the required cutoff scores in the NEET UG conducted by CBSE, New Delhi, is compulsory.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NEET-MDS (Dental Postgraduate) COURSES:

Admission Eligibility:

  1. Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
  2. NRIs are eligible only for NRI quota seats in unaided private and Private Minority medical colleges (up to 15% of seats), meeting NRI status and other relevant criteria.
  3. A certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating Indian nationality is mandatory for eligibility (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Non-Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are not eligible). 
  4. Provisional or permanent registration from the Dental Council of India Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC) or another state Dental Council is necessary.
  5. Maharashtra-domiciled candidates, admitted under 15% All India Quota in dental colleges outside Maharashtra, with a degree from a University outside the state, are eligible for the NEET-MDS selection process. 
  6. Medical fitness is mandatory.
  7. All Candidates must have appeared for NEET-MDS and been declared eligible by the Competent Authority of NEET-MDS, Government of India, New Delhi.
  8. For selection in Dental Postgraduate courses, candidates from General and EWS categories must secure a minimum of 50th percentile marks, while those from constitutional reservation and PWD categories must secure at least 40th percentile in NEET-MDS. 
  9. PWD candidates from General and EWS categories must secure a minimum of 45th percentile marks in NEET-MDS.
  10. Registration with DCI/State Dental Council/Other State Dental Council is mandatory for qualifying NEET-MDS 2020 Candidates.
  11. Candidates belonging to Backward Classes / SEBC / EWS must claim so in their online registration for Maharashtra State quota seats.

Maharashtra PG Dental Admission Application Procedure:

Candidates desiring admission to state quota seats in Govt./Corporation Dental Colleges, and unaided Private/Deemed Universities of Maharashtra State must submit an online application form on www.dmer.org and www.mahacet.org.

State Merit List (SML) Number-wise candidates will undergo document verification and preference form filling. Counseling for NEET-MDS eligible candidates will occur at Govt. Medical Colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad & Nagpur.

Candidates should carefully follow the instructions for filling out the online form. They must print the Bank Challan and pay the required fee at any Branch of the State Bank of India on the Second Working Day onwards, obtaining the Challan with the Journal ID/Transaction ID.
