founded in 1963, the LA Society of S. Nijalingappa College is one of the K.L.E Society began humbly as a science college in a rented building on Mahatma Gandhi Road near Mayo Hall. In 1966 it was moved to its current location. Founding director Dr.V.G. Nelivigi laid a solid foundation for the College and has been responsible for the development of the College by including it in Items 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC.
