Training & Placement for Kochi Business School
The Placement Unit of the Kochi Business School attaches great importance to ensuring that all of its students receive a suitable place on the course after graduation. The cell equips each student with the right skills, leadership, and expertise to ensure they are easily accepted by the industry. The department organizes imaginative courses and workshops that enable students to be effective team leaders and team players. This department works with a double focus on building in-house capabilities by promoting literacy among contemporary students and enabling the industry to identify and absorb intellectuals with the necessary technical and managerial skills.
•As one of the best Management Institutes, we take pride in announcing that KBS is one of the very few institutes to offer Dual Specialization in MBA.
•Despite being a 10-year-old young institute, our students have exhibited exceptional performance, and as a result, we have been observing an upward trend in our final placement and internship statistics.
•Surviving the current recession with record-breaking placements and internships speaks much about our excellence.
•The Placement Cell is headed by the Dean- Corporate Relations and assisted by a Placement Officer.
•A student committee consisting of 5-10 will support all the activities of the department along with selected Alumni members.
Skill enhancement
•Students are being trained in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning to perform well in the written test, which is an important component in the Selection process of Corporates.
•Being a team player and exhibiting Leadership traits in the exchange of views is the essence of Group Discussion. Students are trained in mock sessions and feedback is provided to improve performance.
•Interviews are held to assess the suitability of the candidate to the Organization. Students are being trained to interact and convince the panel.
Skill assessment
Skill Assessment on both soft and hard skills was undertaken to bridge the skill gap and improve Employability. Students were given feedback on the skill assessment and the scope for improvement.
Internship
InternshipKBS provides internship opportunities to students that offer a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. The internship program also offers the students the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace as well as develop their talent and expertise and build a pipeline for future full-time employees. Both the First and Second-year students are being trained to take up Research, Projects, and Summer internships in well-known Organizations with stipends. Earn while you learn through part-time working opportunities.
