The institute offers a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in six specializations and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in two specializations. Eligibility criteria include passing the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and participation in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling.
The TNEA is conducted by Anna University across various engineering institutes in the state. Candidates need to register for TNEA through its official website. Selection for counseling is based on the merit of the 10+2 qualifying examination, and subsequent admission is determined through the counseling process.
Key Points:
• Candidates must have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects in 10+2.
• A relaxation of 5% and 10% in aggregate marks is provided for candidates from OBC and MBC, DNC, SC/SCA/ST categories, respectively.
• Applicants who completed their education from Class 8th to 12th in Tamil Nadu are exempt from submitting a Nativity certificate during admission.
• Tamil Nadu natives who completed their education outside Tamil Nadu between Class 8th to 12th need to submit a Nativity certificate.
• Children of Central Government Employees, regardless of their native state, can apply if their parents/guardians have served in Tamil Nadu for the past five years.
• Children of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply.
• Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government Institutions can also apply, irrespective of their domicile.
KPR Institute Application Process
The application process for all courses is offline. Candidates can download the application form from the official website and must complete it accurately. The filled-out form, along with a Demand Draft (DD), should be submitted at the institute's campus. The DD should be drawn in favor of “The Secretary (TNEA), Anna University” and payable at Chennai.

The KPR International Centre is responsible for recruiting international students through various initiatives, including participation in international education exhibitions, collaboration with foreign ministries of education and Indian Embassies abroad, and establishing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with recruitment agencies and service providers.
