The foundation of the K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology was laid in the year 1994, near Tiruchengode, South India. A vital part of the enormous K.S.R. Group of Institutions, it is carving a distinct place for itself under the tutelage of Lion Dr. K. S. Rangasamy. KSRCT is located in a scenic campus area of over 300 acres with a built-up area of 12 lakh square feet. A combination of cutting-edge infrastructure and well-accomplished staff makes it a premier center for learning. In fact, it has the ninth-largest intake of students (as per AICTE approval) among the self-financing engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.

KSRCT has various cells for student and faculty empowerment. It has signed MoU with leading industries to facilitate industrial exposure for students and faculty and allow in-plant training for students. An actively functioning placement cell has assured a high rate of placement for the passing out candidates.

Library:

The KSRCT takes pride in having a Library housed in a two-storied block with a built-up area of 22877 sq. The ground floor houses a book stack area, circulation counter, and online public access catalog facility. The first floor houses Periodical Section, Reference Section, Book Bank, Reprographic Section, and Digital Library. The Library has more than 100000 books and 300 Journal and Magazine subscriptions which include National and International. In addition to books and journals, 5 e-journal and e-book packages are subscribed. Book Bank facility is also available for SC/ST students. All the back issues of journals and magazines are bound and kept for ready reference.

Sports

Keeping this in mind, students are encouraged to take part in all sports & games activities, and competitions. Coaching for the students in various games under the supervision of eminent coachers is being arranged. Vast playgrounds (in 11 acres) are provided for sports activities. The institution has commissioned 3 Sports Academies for Cricket, Badminton, and Athletics to tap and consolidate the rural potential students for excelling in sports and game events. The Department of Physical Education is headed by a Physical Director and staffed with assistant physical directors. The Department also utilizes the resources of visiting coaches apart from the regular staff to train sports personnel.

Transport

150 buses ply in a radius of 110 km around to cater to the conveyance needs of the students and staff members. Some of the key areas that are covered are Erode, Attur, Tirupur, Mettur, Salem, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Sankari, Theni, Karur, Kangeyam, Vellakovil, Omalur, and Edapadi. A full-fledged automobile service station is commissioned inside the College Premises to address the periodical services, maintenance, and repairs of the vehicles.

Internet

The college has merged with the information super highway by providing Internet facilities round the clock. Students and faculties enjoy unlimited Internet access with 120 Mbps bandwidth.

Hostel:

A hostel is home away-home that provides a good ambiance for students to pursue and excel in their studies apart from nourishing and providing them with healthy food, comfort, and shelter. The Institution provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, situated within the same campus. Nearly 2,000 students are housed in these hostels.

Placement:

The college provides placement opportunities with various companies. the eligibility for placement completely depends upon the students as I saw some students placed in the 3rd semester as well last semester. the highest package is 12LPA(2022).
