Welcome to the Central Library, madhav institute of technology & science. Central Library is one of the unique places on the campus of MITS where you can find the best books and journals related to Engineering and Architecture disciplines. Currently, Central Library houses around 1.00,000+ books. The Central Library collection consists of textbooks and reference books for engineering graduates, postgraduates, and Ph. Ds in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical, computer science & information technology, and architecture disciplines. The library collection includes documents in computer science, history of science, fiction, stories, general books, encyclopedias and dictionaries, magazines, etc.

Central Library recently automated their library services; now in the Gwalior region, MITS Central Library is the first one, who implement RFID technology with international security standards like ISO-15693/ISO 18000-3, which relies on 13.59 MHZ. In the Last 12 months, more than 38,651 books were issued to various UG/PG students. To this end, the college has established a sports cell, which is staffed with coaches and sports professionals to provide guidance. The cell organizes a variety of indoor and outdoor sporting activities to keep students physically active and mentally stimulated.

Workshop

The workshop is at the core of the engineering curriculum, both in general and in mechanical engineering disciplines. Students are exposed to different manufacturing processes with crucial study of process parameters in this area. Therefore, it is very important to upgrade the facility in this area by training students at the level directly applicable to the present industries. In order to take up the industrial product development and increase the interaction between the industry and the institute, the workshop facilities play a crucial role. Therefore, we suggest upgrading the workshop with the following machines, accessories, tools, and measuring instruments. The Central Workshop, which is the core unit of the madhav institute of Technology and science in Gwalior, was founded in 1957. It has sufficient space, sophisticated machinery, and tools for carrying out various practicals. Basic training in this workshop meets the degree requirement of engineering during the first or the second semester. The practical classes of b.E. and m.tech. are also conducted in various shops with trained faculty and staff. In addition, EDM, ECM, and plasma cutting machines are being installed along with conventional machines. More recently, the NC and CNC machines have been installed. Renovation and Upgrade works have started to meet the current scenario requirement.
