MR DAV IMS is permitted via way of means All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India, State Govt. of Haryana & affiliated to M.D. University, Rohtak. The Institute is run & controlled via way of means Association of Persons called MR DAV Educational Trust.

As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval.
