Established in June 2008, Nehru Gram Bharati Deemed to be a University is known as NGBU Allahabad, Allahabad. The campus of NGBU is built over a land of 76 acres within a radius of around five kilometers. It has campuses with different departments which include the Faculty of Arts, Science, Commerce, Teacher Education, Music & Performing Arts Library & Information Science, Law, and Management. NGBU offers a wide range of programmes at UG and PG levels as well as various Diploma and Certificate courses.

UG Courses
- Admissions to BA, BSc, BCom, BPA (Music) and B.Lib.I.Sc. programmes are based on merit
- Candidates need to qualify for the relevant entrance exam for admission to BCA, BBA, BTC/ D.El.Ed., B.Ed, LLB, DEd programmes
PG Courses
- For PG programmes such as MA, MCom, MSc, M.Lib.I.Sc. and M.Mus./ MPA, the admissions are merit-based
- For other PG courses such as MSW, MBA, M.Ed, MCA, PGDCA, MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, PGDJMC, and LLM, admissions are done through an entrance exam
