The admissions are divided into two categories, Category ‘A’ (70%) and Category ‘B’ (30%).

U.G. Courses (I Year B.Tech):

Category ‘A': The admissions into A Category are made by Govt. of A.P. through Centralized Counseling. The students have to qualify for the Intermediate or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% and must qualify EAMCET exam conducted by Govt. of A.P. Category ‘B': The admissions into the ‘B’ category will be made by the management of the College based on merit in EAMCET/Intermediate.

U.G. Courses (Lateral Entry B.Tech)

The admissions are made by Govt. of A.P. through Centralized Counseling. The students have to qualify in 3 3-year Diploma courses or equivalent exams and must qualify ECET exam conducted by Govt. of A.P. The admissions will be made through web counseling.

P.G. Courses (M.Tech)

Category ‘A': The admissions into A Category are made by Govt. of A.P. through Centralized Counseling. The students have to qualify in B.Tech or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% and must qualify GATE/PGECET exam conducted by Govt. of A.P. The admissions will be made through web/online counseling.

Category ‘B': The admissions into the ‘B’ category will be made by the management of the College based on the merit in GATE/PGECET/B.Tech.

Polytechnic Courses

Admissions to Polytechnic Courses at Nigama Engineering College are made through the POLYCET (Common Entrance Examination for Polytechnic) examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Govt. of Andhra PradeshThe candidates should attend the counseling for admission into the Polytechnic colleges conducted by the Convener, State Board of Technical Education and Training. Based on the rank obtained in CEEP, candidates can opt for ANRH per the availability of the college and branch at the time of counseling.
