Eligibility Criteria for Admission B.Sc Nursing
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria for admission to the B.Sc Nursing program:
1. The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the admission year.
2. A passing grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English individually is mandatory. The candidate must secure a minimum of 45% marks in PCB collectively in the qualifying examination (10+2).
3. Candidates from state open schools recognized by the state government and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the central government are also eligible, provided they have studied science subjects and English only.
4. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2.
5. The candidate should be medically fit. However, color-blind candidates may be considered for admission to Nursing courses under the condition that they wear color corrective contact lenses and spectacles.
6. Admission takes place once a year.
Eligibility Criteria GNM
The minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM program are as follows:
1. Completion of 10+2 with English and a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination, with English as a mandatory subject, from any recognized board.
2. Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible.
3. 40% marks in vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
4. 40% marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
5. Registered ANM with pass marks.
6. ANM Minimum qualification is a pass in 10+2 in any stream.
For Foreign Nationals
The equivalence of the entry qualification (12th standard) will be determined by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The institution and State Nursing Council will ensure that the qualification and eligibility are equivalent to the prescribed standards.
