NIT Polytechnic, Nagpur Libraries are the storehouse of knowledge as they maintain the books and other knowledge resources available mostly in printed form. However, with the advent of Digital Technology and Internet connectivity, the library scenario is changing fast. Digital technology, Internet connectivity, and Physical content are dovetailed and result in a Digital Library.

Since, the inception of NIT Polytechnic in 2009, our library has been established. It is such a place that slowly but steadily has moved ahead to carve a niche for itself. Today, the library has 9062 documents and 1500 members. To facilitate all the readers with selected reading materials of their choice, the access to stacks is opened to its members. Keeping the library on modern techniques, the reading materials have been classified and cataloged on Dewey Decimal Classification and Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules-II.

Workshop Facilities 

The workshop is one of the oldest and largest divisions of Mechanical Engineering. It has the machinery and facilities to cater to the needs of diplomas to carry out research in the fields of Manufacturing and Materials Science and Engineering. It provides infrastructure facilities for conducting laboratory courses in interdisciplinary areas, and carrying out diploma project works and consultancy works.

Canteen Facilities 

The college provides a canteen facility to the students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff of the college; it is capable of catering to the demands of the students and can accommodate 30 persons at a time. It has spacious & properly maintained rooms as well as a kitchen; generally, the college provides it to any individual on a contract basis after proper official formalities.

The College canteen also caters to the functions organized in the college programs like seminars, conferences, and workshops.

The kitchen staff takes care to provide the students and staff a nutritious and hygienic food at our campus canteens. A variety of hygienic food and snack items includes South and North Indian Meals, Variety Rice’s Chinese Foods Fresh Juices, etc.

STUDENTS GRIEVANCE CELL

The main objective of the Grievance Cell at NIT Polytechnic is to look after the students’ issues and to redress them by solving problems related to academics and administration, hence establishing synchronization between students and the Institute to promote better learning in a healthy and carefree ambiance.

Senior faculty members are members of this cell. They look into the difficulties faced by the students in academic and administrative matters; students can approach the members of this cell to resolve their problems. They can also use suggestion and complaint boxes and email to bring academic discomforts and grievances to the notice of management.
