During the placement drive in 2020, NIT Sikkim achieved a placement rate of up to 65%. The majority of placements were secured by B.Tech students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department and the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department. A total of 67 B.Tech students were successfully placed across various programs. The highest domestic package offered was INR 20 lakhs per annum, while the average package reached INR 9 lakhs per annum.
