Residential Accommodations:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh hostel provides a congenial ambience for academic pursuits. Students from various states such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, U.P., Bihar, Manipur, and Rajasthan come over to seek admission in Hostel. The admission is strictly on a merit basis. In addition to 265 Seats in the college hostel, there is an arrangement for 50 students in Working Women Hostel, Sector 24-B, Chandigarh. We have Internal Library, Computers and Internet Facility for the hostellers. In the education scenario, our students with their hard work and devotion have proved their remarkable best both in academics and co-curricular activities.

Seminar Room:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh Seminar has got a fully air-conditioned seminar room, with a seating capacity of around 100 people. Equipped with sophisticated ICT infrastructure such as audio-visual facilities, projectors, comfortable seats, and a podium, the seminar room provides a boardroom atmosphere for the students. It is the perfect venue for all the important curricular and extra-curricular seminars, discussions, debates, special lectures, council meetings, society events, conferences, FDPs, etc.

IT Facilities:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh IT has the four-storey Wi-Fi IT Block, a fully Wi-Fi Campus, State-of-Art Smart Class Rooms, labs (fully equipped with the latest technology, Nebero Internet Software Management Solutions), Conference Rooms, Communication Skills Development Lab, Multipurpose Hall, Placement Cell, Teaching rooms and provision of special facilities for the differently abled students. High Speed 100 Mbps internet facility has been made available for the students and the faculty members in all the departments, Library, labs, UGC, Resource Centre and Hostel. This round-the-clock access supports the information needs of the users. The college website also features an E-learning portal in the form of a Powerpoint Presentation.

Library:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh Library of this college is situated on the first floor. The library has an automated RFID along with a vast compendium of 96328 books. In addition to this, the library subscribes to 86 magazines, 38 subject journals and 15 newspapers in Hindi, English and Punjabi to keep the students and staff abreast with current affairs at home and abroad. The library has an INFLIBNET facility to access E-Books & Journals and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility is available in the library for staff and students through which they can search the books through various approaches like author, title, accession number, publisher, subject, or a combination of these. Every section is under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Fire extinguishers are installed in the library buildings to meet regulatory requirements and to allow trained employees to attempt to extinguish small fires.

Auditorium:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh Auditorium has a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of about 400 people. It serves as a space for fostering the holistic development of the students. Located at the centre of the campus, the auditorium is fully equipped with sophisticated and superlative light and sound systems. The auditorium is also well-furnished with a large podium, cosy seating with special chairs for the guests, balcony seats for a finer view of the events, good acoustics, advanced audio-visual equipment including LCD projectors, screens, green rooms, and washrooms. The auditorium of the college reflects the commitment to augment the quality of education for the students.

Labs:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh Labs has as many as Thirty-Nine laboratories in the subjects of Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Bio-Technology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Computer Science, BCA, Functional Hindi, Geography, Psychology, Fine Arts, Dance, Music-Vocal, Music Instrumental, Home Science, Video Studio and Communication Skill Lab. These labs are equipped with all relevant items as required per University conditions.

Sports Facilities:

PG-GCG, Chandigarh sports students performed extremely well in various Inter National, National, All-India Inter-Varsity, State & Inter-College competitions. To ensure the holistic development of the students, the college offers State-of-Art-Gymnasium and sports facilities to the sportswomen in games and sports such as Athletics, Basket Ball, Cricket, Cross Country Race, Football, Fencing, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Jodo, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, kayaking, Net-Ball, Rowing, Soft Ball, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Wushu, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Yachting and Yoga etc. Similarly, co-curricular activities are an integral part of college activities.14 of our college students have represented India in international Skating, Hockey and Handball competitions while 300 students have participated at the National Level in various sports events, besides winning accolades at the state, university and inter-college championships.
