Rules & Regulations Poornima College of Engineering

Purpose:

The purpose of the Training & Placement Office is to establish the overall structure and processes of Training, Placements, and Outreach, and to define the roles and responsibilities of the teams within the office. The Training & Placement Office at Poornima Group ensures that:

  1. Maximum number of students secure on-campus placements.
  2. Deserving candidates have the opportunity to begin their careers with their preferred companies.
  3. The entire team works by defined processes to achieve common objectives.

Structure of Training & Placement Office:
The Training & Placement Office (TPO) is led by the Chief Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Dipti Lodha. The TPO comprises a team of 8 Branch Coordinators from various engineering disciplines, management, entrepreneurship development, and architecture & design, who work together to prepare students. Each institution has an Institutional Training and Placement Coordinator under the TPO's banner to assist students with their queries.

Role & Responsibility of Training & Placement Office:

  1. Inviting Companies/Industries for campus recruitment drives.
  2. Preparing a database of all final year students and sharing it with Companies/Industries as per their requirements and eligibility criteria.
  3. Finalizing suitable dates for campus drives in coordination with Company Personnel.
  4. Organizing regular classes/sessions for Soft Skills Development to enhance students' performance in placements.
  5. Making arrangements for venues and resources for organizing campus drives.
  6. Forming an active team of faculty and student placement coordinators for effective execution.
  7. Not inviting/approaching any company for campus drive involving financial conditions.

Eligibility Conditions:

  1. Final year students are eligible to participate in placement activities if they meet the specified requirements and eligibility criteria.
  2. Students interested in placements must attend all technical and soft skill preparatory classes/sessions.
  3. Students are not permitted to participate in off-campus drives of companies scheduled to visit Poornima Group for hiring.
  4. Students are not allowed to pay any amount to any agency/mediator for placements.

Job Offers:

  1. Strictly adheres to the policy of "One student, One Job Offer" only.
  2. Placed students can apply for one Dream Company only, and if selected, their previous offer will be withdrawn.
  3. Dream Company's consideration criteria include offering a higher package or being a bigger or better brand.
  4. Students from certain streams are allowed to participate in Core Companies/non-IT companies' campus drives even if they have an offer from IT companies.

Poornima College of Engineering Internship Opportunities

During the summer break, students at Poornima College of Engineering engage in enriching summer internships aimed at deepening their understanding of technologies relevant to their field of study and augmenting their technical expertise through hands-on experience in real-world industrial settings.

Engineering students embark on 4-6 weeks' of internships at various esteemed organizations, carefully selected to align with their skill sets and the evolving demands of the industry. These internships are designed to achieve the following learning objectives:
