Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)
The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, has been instituted to develop policies, regulations, and guidelines aligning with directives from both State and Central Governments, and to implement them effectively. Within the purview of the Directorate, approximately 1600 Technical Institutions are situated across Maharashtra. This network is supported by six regional Technical Education Offices located in Amravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, and Pune.
The primary goal of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, is to elevate and uphold the standards of technical education. This is achieved through the formulation of policies, the development of infrastructure in government institutions, guidance for private institutions, and fostering collaboration with industry, professional bodies, and esteemed national institutions.
