Placement in School of Biotechnology

The School of Biotechnology strives to ensure good placement of its students by adopting a curriculum that enriches and encourages its students to go for higher education and research. It also imparts them with the appropriate knowledge and skills to make them industry-ready and competent for the Biotechnology sector.

After completing their post-graduate studies, most of the students of the School of Biotechnology either opt for higher studies like PhD and research projects or join Biotech/other companies. Based on the information available:

• Several students of our school have been placed in various organizations of high repute all over India e.g. Biocon, Daiichi Sankyo India, Zydus Cadila, Panacea, Johnson & Johnson, Zyme Pharmaceuticals, Alere Medical, Genetix Asia, Patanjali, Wrig Nanosystems, IDS Infotech, Bioglobe Research Solutions etc.

• Some of our students are also pursuing Ph.D. programs in esteemed Indian Universities and research institutes e.g., IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, NIPGR, IARI (PUSA), TERI, NIFTM, DRDO, NSIT, Pant Nagar University, Nirma University, etc.

• A few of our students have also been selected for PhD programs outside India including C.N.U, South Korea; Max Planck Institute of Chemical Ecology, Germany; New Castle University, Australia and Louisiana State University, USA.

• Some of the students have also joined as research fellows in sponsored research projects in different Indian institutes while some of them have joined as Faculty in various colleges.
