•SDMCET offers full-time Bachelor courses in various disciplines of Engineering for those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Mathematics, English as compulsory and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics as an optional subject. SDMCET accepts admissions through three selection processes which are- COMEDK, KCET (Government Quota), and Management Quota. Candidates who have scored a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 are eligible to take the Entrance Examination.

•Candidates who have passed a Diploma or any Equivalent exam in Karnataka or have a B.Sc degree and obtained a minimum of aggregate 45% of marks and who have appeared in DCET are eligible to take admission in Undergraduate course directly into the third semester in the Lateral entry.

•Reservation is confined to the candidates belonging to Karnataka state.

•Reserved category candidates having minimum 40% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, English as compulsory and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics as an optional subject are eligible for entrance-based examination.

•For KCET, candidates must have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government-recognized educational institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 12th. Standard.

•College offers two-year, full-time Master's courses in various departments of Engineering for those candidates who have aggregate 50% marks in all subjects for all the years of Graduate or Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering discipline, obtained through the 10+2+4 system. For admissions in Master’s candidates must have appeared in Post Graduation Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

•For those candidates who were seeking admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) having 50% marks in all the subjects for all the year of degree obtained through the 10+2+3 system, has to appear in Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate College Association (KPPGCA).

SDM College of Engineering and Technology Application Process

•Candidates can apply for admission to SDM College of Engineering and Technology through an offline process.

•Purchase the Admission Application form by paying INR 450 in cash at the Counter.

•Fill the mandatory details in Block Letters.

•Demand draft. / cash to be remitted to the Bank through challans issued along with the Application form.

•Submit the completed Application Form along with documents & bank receipt.

Admission to BE courses – Norms & Procedure Eligibility

•The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. is the second PUC or 10+2 exam or equivalent examination recognized by the State / Central Government/ University with English as a compulsory subject.

•The General Merit candidates should have passed the 2nd PUC or 10+2 examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. English must be a subject of study. However, educational qualifications/eligibility criteria prescribed by the competent authority in regulations/guidelines issued from time to time will be applicable in deciding the eligibility.

•X std. / SSLC Marks Card.

•XII std. / PUC Marks Card.

•Study / Character Certificate as submitted in Counseling.

•Transfer Certificate of XII std. / PUC (TC or LC).

•Cast / Income Certificate (for SC/ST/CAT1/IIA or IIB/IIIA or IIIB).

•Migration Certificate (for Non Karnataka candidates).

•Aadhar card xerox of the student.

•PAN CARD Xerox of the parent.

Lateral Entry to III Semester BE for Diploma Students Eligibility Criteria

•The candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and Sixth Semester) of the Diploma examination. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Backward Classes a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and Sixth Semester) of the Diploma examination).

•The candidates should have appeared for the DCET exam conducted by KEA. Candidates from Karnataka state are eligible.

•Diploma all semester marks Card.

•Study / Character Certificate as submitted in DCET Counseling.

•Transfer Certificate of diploma college(TC).

•Cast / Income Certificate (for SC/ST/CAT1/IIA or IIB/IIIA or IIIB).

•Aadhar card xerox of the student.

M.Tech and MBA(Post Graduate) Eligibility Criteria – M.Tech/MBA

•The candidates should have obtained 50% of aggregate minimum marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years of the Degree examination. (45% of Aggregate marks in all the subjects for all the years in the Degree examination in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Category-1.

•The candidates should have appeared for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test conducted by KEA.

•Candidates from Karnataka and other states are eligible.
