Career Development Cell of Selvam College of Technology facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up internship and training programs of students.

The cell liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses, etc. which conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. The Career Development cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests, and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The cell interacts with many industries in the country, of which nearly 200 companies visit the campus to hold campus interviews. The industries that approach the institute come under the purview of Core Engineering industries, IT & IT-enabled services, and Management Organizations.

The Career Development Cell functions in a separate air-conditioned block with state-of-the-art facilities for conducting pre-placement talks, Written Tests, Group Discussions, and Interviews and has steadily progressed over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful careers.
