The Placement Cell at Sigma plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Undergraduates and post-graduates passing out from college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates around the year to facilitate contact between companies and graduates.

The number of students placed through campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

The Placement Cell organizes career guidance programs for all the students starting from the first year. The cell arranges training programs like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshops, etc. and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested in joining Government Sectors.

Student Start-up & Innovation Policy

It aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university-based innovation ecosystem to support the innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for the optimum harnessing of their creative pursuits. This was developed by the Government of Gujarat to implement the Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP).

• Doing activities like events related to SSIP awareness, capacity building, sensitization of students, and supporting projects at the PoC/Prototype stage by funding and/or mentoring.
• Financial and/or mentoring support is provided to selected projects under SSIP.
• 14 Projects are supported at the POC/Prototype stage in the year 2020-21.
• Over 5,000 students were reached and sensitized by different events and seminars in the year 2020-21.
• 3 patents were filed/published during the year 2020-21.
• 37 events/webinars conducted as a capacity-building program in the year 2020-21.
