Infrastructure and Facilities

Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library Facilities at SCTCE, Trivandrum

SCTCE central library facilitates the creation of new knowledge by acquiring, organizing, and disseminating knowledge resources and by providing value-added services.  The central library has more than 32,000 books and 66 national and international journals. In addition to the classic library, there is the digital library, which contains a sufficient number of digital documents such as e-books, e-journals, specialist reports, project reports, etc.  The SCTCE library provides access to e-journal packages, viz.IEL Online (IEE), Science Direct membership of Elsevier, ASME, Springer, DELNET and NDL. Electronic resources are accessible over the campus Wi-Fi network on all Wi-Fi-enabled computers, laptops, and cell phones in the institution. Authorized users have remote access to DELNET. Approximately PLN 250,000 is spent annually on purchasing various types of information sources. Exam prep books like Civil Service, GATE, NDA, CDS, CAT, etc. They can be found in the skills corner of the library. Library operations are fully automated with the library management software LIBSOFT. Books are stacked on public shelves for easy finding and locating and are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system.

Central data center 

The Central Computing Facility (CCF) serves as the hub for all college networking matters. A fiber optic network connects the various services to the CCF. It is a state-approved support center. of Kerala for providing online registration for Central and Eastern European applicants. The college's computer facilities are also used to administer various online tests through external bodies such as RRB, VSSC, Post Department, etc.CCF owns 49 Dell Optiplex 5050MT desktops with Intel Core I5-7700, ITB. SATA hard drive and 8 GB RAM. The machines support dual boot and support both Windows and Linux operating systems. Dell Power Edge T4b30 server with Windows 2012 R2 as a domain controller is installed in CCF. In addition, five HP blade servers are used for campus automation. The CCF is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and welcomes students from all departments. 

Hostel Facilities at SCTCE, Trivandrum

SCTCE Hostel Facilities home committee active in the college is responsible for student accommodation. Each year, the dormitory committee solicits bids from various dormitories to provide a dormitory within a 7 km radius of the campus. The home committee then visited these homes and checked their equipment and cleanliness. The list of approved halls of residence will then be posted on the university's bulletin board.
