Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya [SCSVMV] or Kanchi University at Kancheepuram In Tamil Nadu is a Deemed University which holds higher reputation for Studies in Sanskrit in the country. It offers various UG, PG, Research Courses. There are around 9 UG courses in 23 various disciplines, 7 PG courses in 29 various disciplines, and M.Phil and Ph.D programs in 9 various disciplines. It also offers a Part-Time B.E/M.E, Ph.D course. There is Lateral Entry for B.E, MCA course. The Department of Engineering and Technology provides Honours/Minor Degree in various Major-Disciplines and also certified courses by some disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria:

For B.E. Program, a candidate needs 10+2 pass certificate with a minimum of 50% marks in PCM with a valid score in AISEEE/ JEE Main entrance tests.
For B.Ed. Program, a UG degree with a minimum of 50% of marks.
For admissions into B.Sc./ BCA/ BBA/ B.Com./ BA, a candidate needs 10+2 pass certificate from any recognized board.
For MBA admission, candidates need a valid UG degree from a recognized university/ institution with a valid score in entrance tests like ATMA/ CAT/ JCET/ MAT/ JMAT/ XAT/ University entrance examination.
For M.E. admission, a UG degree in B.E. or equivalent is needed from a recognized university/ institution.
For M.Sc. admissions, B.Sc. degree or equivalent with min. 55% of the marks are needed.
For M.Phil & Ph.D. admissions, Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks overall. Admission to the same courses is subject to name in the merit list followed by the entrance test and personal interview round.

SCSVMV UG Admission 2023: B.Ed, BA, B.Sc, BCA, BAMS, B.Com And BBA

The university provides non-technical UG courses along with specializations in various courses. BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc are of 3 years duration whereas B.Ed is of 2 years and BAMS is of 5.5 years. Admission to all the courses is based on Merit only. BAMS is the only course to which admission is through NEET scores .

Note: Candidates who have passed Prak Sastri from any recognized board are also eligible to apply for BA (Sanskrit). The university strongly promotes higher education in Sanskrit and therefore, offers a stipend to the day scholars whereas free accommodation facility to those who seek admission in Sanskrit courses.
