Qualification criteria:

The candidate must have Indian citizenship. The candidate must be at least 16 years old as of December 31 of the academic year for which the appointment is made. On the day of counseling, the candidate must have passed the entrance examination (10+2) or its equivalent in a single entrance examination scored points in the general entrance examination organized by the State, and fulfill other conditions specified in this Regulation.  Seats on the Council are allocated on the basis of the rank achieved in the EAPSET conducted by the State or on the basis of obtaining at least 50% of the marks in the overall or group subjects of the aptitude test. 

Seat Assignment:

Leadership positions represent 15% of the total number of seats in each degree program related to non-minority and unsupported professional institutions.  They are open to all eligible candidates including candidates from other states and union territories of India and NRIs.
