Admission 2024-25 - Shree Sathyam College Of Engineering And Technology (SSCET, Salem)

ADMISSION – PROCEDURE

Prospectus and application for various courses may be obtained from the admission office of Shree Sathyam College of Engineering and Technology.

All the applications duly filled in should be sent by registered post to the admission office before the stipulated date. Applications can also be directly submitted to the admission office,

The following photocopies of the testimonials should be enclosed along with the filled-in application.

UG Courses

1. 10th Mark Sheet
2. Mark sheet of 12th or qualifying examination or equivalent
3. Community Certificate
4. Migration certificate for other state candidates
5. 5 Passport size photographs of the applicant
6. Transfer & Conduct certificate from the institution last studied.
7. Other necessary documents like First Graduate, Income Certificate, etc.,
8. All the above original certificates should be submitted at the time of admission

Admissions are made to this college on the clear understanding that those who are admitted will fully accept and abide by the rules and regulations in force and those which may be enforced or modified as and when required. Any dispute that may arise would be subject to Namakkal jurisdiction only

All admissions will be done according to the guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Hon. Supreme court

ADMISSION – UG COURSES

Eligibility for admission to first-year B.E. / B.Tech. programs (As per norms of Govt. of Tamilnadu)

A pass in XII std., of Tamilnadu HSC (Academic) with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. (or)

A pass in XII std., of Tamilnadu HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering / Technology Vocational Subjects and any one or two of the related subjects like Maths, Physics or Chemistry.

A pass in an equivalent examination accepted by Universities in Tamilnadu for admission to B.E. / B.Tech., / B.Arch. degree courses.

A rank statement from an approved agency like the Consortium of Self-Financing Engineering and Arts Colleges is mandatory for admission under the Minority / Management quota. (Refer to separate advertisements from the authorities of State Government for Admissions under Government Quota).

LATERAL ENTRY UG COURSE ELIGIBILITY

Qualifying Examination: Diploma Candidates

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course (Refer to list of eligible Degree Courses for various Diploma Courses).

Qualifying Examination: B.Sc. Candidates

A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 year’s pattern and studied Mathematics at +2 level or studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects at B.Sc. level alone are eligible for admission to B.E/ B.Tech degree courses through Lateral Entry.

 Note: Candidates with Degrees other than Bachelor of Science are not eligible.

For any clarification about Diploma qualification, write a letter to DOTE, get it clarified, and then admit students. On any account, candidates without prescribed qualifications will not be given admission approval.

Minimum Eligibility Marks

Both Diploma and B.Sc. qualified candidates have to obtain the following minimum eligibility marks for admission to Lateral Entry as prescribed in G.O. (Ms.) No.263, Higher Education (J2) Department, dated: 30.6.2008
