Infrastructure and Facilities:

St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library:

St. Xavier's College Library offers printed & amp; electronic resources for all related academic and student activities e staff, services for research, and use of these resources and infrastructures and spaces adapted to their use. An online database of books and magazines is maintained and access to these is provided via five OPAC (Online Public Access) terminals in the library and a link to the College website. The library started an institutional archive by digitizing rare books and scholarly publications. The library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. only on working days. The college librarian is Mrs. Medha Taskar.

Computer Lab:

St. Xavier's College Computer Lab It is called the ‘Xavier Knowledge Centre’. It has solar labs and is located on the first floor of the hostel building and includes 5 computer labs with around 125 computers in all. One of the computer labs has a state-of-the-art video conferencing facility. The Center takes charge of all computer science courses. He also teaches courses in collaboration with many departments and other organizations.

Medical Services and Health Center:

St. Xavier's College In the event of a medical emergency in St. Xavier's College, a first Aid Kit is available on Campus with trained staff and ambulance services available.

Blatter Herbarium:

St. Xavier's College was started at the end of the 19th century. In 1918 a very large number of plants were collected by P. E. Blatter, SJ, its collaborators, and students. The Erbario was named after Fr. Blatter in 1941. Contains the largest collection of plants in Western India. It provides facilities for the study of plant systematics and has a rich library of systematic botany. The Erbario received the Sir Ratan Tata Trust grant for updating and digitizing the plant database. dr. Rajendra Shinde is the present Director.

Gymkhana:

St. Xavier's College Fell Gymkhana (1954) bears the name of its founder, Fr. Tombé. It has facilities for bodybuilding, badminton, table tennis, carrom, and chess. The College has full-size basketball and volleyball courts. The College has leased the use of a cricket ground on Azad Maidan to BMC. dr. Thomas Pires is the Director and he is assisted by other Coaches for different sports, as and when the need arises.
