Admission for MMS and MCA programs will be facilitated by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized university by AIU. For backward class and PwD candidates from Maharashtra, graduation score criteria are relaxed to 45% from 50%. 

Several specializations are available for candidates seeking a degree in MMS. The specializations are:

Sterling Institute of Management Studies Admission:

1. Candidates must visit the DTE, Maharashtra website to seek admission at SIMS. 
2. The aspirant looking for admission for a Master’s degree at SIMS must have passed graduation with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in aggregate for candidates belonging to backward classes, Persons with disabilities, and economically weaker sections of Maharashtra State). 
3. The aspirants need to appear for the MBA-CET and MCA-CET exams to get admission at SIMS. 
4. Selection of the candidates is done on a merit basis according to the marks obtained in the entrance exam (CET). 

Steps to apply Online:

• Visit the official website of MAH-CET, DTE Maharashtra. 
• Click on the registration window and enter personal details like email ID, and phone number to generate a User ID and password.
• A verification link will be sent to the registered Email ID. Click on the link, and it will follow the application form link. 
• Re-login with the ID and password generated and start filling out the application form. 
• Upload scanned photograph and signature. 
• Select the program (MMS/MCA)
• Pay the application fee online (Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking) of INR 1000/- for General candidates and INR 800/- for reserved category and PwD candidates. 
• After successful completion of filling details, submit the application form and take a hardcopy print of the application form.
