Recognization and Accreditations of Sushant University 

Sushant University holds the following acknowledgments and accreditations:

1. UGC recognized: This institution and the degrees it awards its faculty are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) which is the official authority that regulates the higher-education system in India. It is important to remember the fact that Sushant University is a full-fledged university that is not a deemed institution.

2. Members of AIU: Sushant University is proud to be a part of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) An eminent organization that represents Indian universities.

3. Bar Council of India (BCI): Sushant University is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI), which is a legal body with the mandate to regulate the practice of law as well as education within India.

4. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI): The education in pharmacy and the profession of pharmacy up to postgraduate level in Sushant University are regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India, which is a statutory entity which is controlled under the Pharmacy Act of 1948.

5. Council of Architecture (COA): Sushant University holds recognition from the Council of Architecture, a legally constituted body created by the Government of India to oversee the practice and education in architecture.

6. ASCI is the acronym for Agriculture Skill Council of India: Sushant University is associated with ASCI which is a non-profit organisation that is part of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. ASCI concentrates on the development of skills in the agriculture and related sectors.

7. AICTE Approval: It is important to note that since it is a state-run university, established under a State Act, Sushant University doesn't require the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).   • The Bar Council of India is a statutory body established under the section 4 of Advocates Act 1961 that regulates the legal practice and legal education in India. Its members are elected from amongst the lawyers in India and as such represents the Indian bar.

  • The Pharmacy education and profession in India upto graduate level is regulated by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Parliament. ? The Pharmacy Act 1948 was enacted on 4.3.48 with the following preamble- "An Act to regulate the profession of pharmacy. Whereas it is expedient to make better provision for the regulation of the profession and practice of pharmacy and for that purpose to constitute Pharmacy Councils". ?   • Council of Architecture Indian regulatory body coa.gov.in The Council of Architecture is a statutory body constituted by the Government of India under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972, enacted by the Parliament of India, which came into force on 1 September 1972.

  • Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) is a Section 8 Not for profit concern working under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). ASCI works towards capacity building by bridging gaps and upgrading skills of farmers, wage workers, self-employed & extension workers engaged in organized / unorganized segments of Agriculture & Allied Sectors. ASCI is contributing to nation building through Skill Development in Agriculture especially at the times when country's agriculture is experiencing stagnant growth, exodus of quality manpower to other sectors, changing climate with increased variability in production parameters and transformations in international agriculture markets that are especially too much subsidized challenging the competitiveness of Indian Agriculture.

  • As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval.
