The vast playground is located in sylvan surroundings. There are courts for tennis, flood-lit basketball, and volleyball, fields for football, cricket, and hockey, and well-laid tracks for athletic events. Students are expected to actively participate in sports and games.
The American College library with a rich collection of about 1,46,000 books. It subscribes to 700 different journals covering a wide range of subjects. Students can use the internet facility at the library. Each student can withdraw a maximum of 10 books at a time. Each department has its own specialized library SCILET (Study Centre for Indian Literature in English and Translation) is a research library, housing about 11,000 books and 75 Journals.
The American College hostels for men: Washburn Hall, Dudley Hall, Wallace Hall and Zumbro Hall. There are two hostels for women: Women’s Hall and Noyes Garden. Both are located in the main campus itself with limited accommodation. The college provides a good living room outside the classroom with an attached bathroom to the students. The college has four men’s hostels and one women’s hostel. Separate application forms are available with the Bursar’s office for admission to hostels.
The American College computer center only for MCA students. The center is equipped with a great range of software with the latest hardware configuration on various platforms. There is also high-speed internet connectivity in the center. Students have the opportunity to learn computing skills on their own.
