Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC)

The Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University Innovation and Incubation Centre is an ideal Research and Development Innovation Ecosystem of the university which enables to nurturing of ideas through research developing and promoting a start-up culture among young entrepreneurs.

The main aim of the TNPESU-IIC is to ensure collaboration with educational institutions, corporations, industries, knowledge hubs, and other socio-economic-related agencies.

This liaison Centre based on the University Campus is empowered to spread across efficient human resources and affordable knowledge capital, technical, testing, and training tools required for the other agencies of this society.

Considering its developmental activities, this liaison Centre is visualized to serve the needs of this region to enhance its developmental capabilities in multiple ways.

This Centre functions as a collective of brilliant minds drawn from fields like physical education, yoga, sports sciences, sports coaching, sports management, and technology.

AIM

The Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) at TNPESU, nurtures a unique platform for Teachers, Scholars, Students, sports persons, Industrialists, and Common man in and around the region, to imagine, test, and cultivate innovative ideas, and translate them into valuable products to serve the society.

The Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) aims to promote research-based ideas and entrepreneurship spirit among the students.

OBJECTIVES

Establish the state-of-the-art resource center with the necessary resources, knowledge, and skills, that will enable it to act with speed, promote research and innovation, and deal with contingent issues.

To initiate and develop innovative ideas

Empowering students and youths to take up the opportunity.

Establish the institutional links to solve the local institutional problems.

Nurturing of start-ups, and technology-based occupational ventures.

A bridge between academic and institutional partners to overcome unemployment issues.

Work as a team to create branding and positioning.

To promote research with contributions to society.

Assist and monitor research activities with fellowships.

To encourage MoU and collaborative activities to promote research.

To conduct brainstorming sessions to create ideas among scholars and students.

To develop new strategies in coaching to improve the performance of the sportsperson.

To motivate faculties and scholars to publish quality papers in research journals and to participate in seminars and workshops.

To educate intellectual property rights and check plagiarism.

To increase the entrepreneurial skills of the students and other aspirants.

To provide and give accessibility for laboratories as per the needs of the research.

To provide coaching for competitive examinations and enhance career opportunities for the students.

Research Alliance, headed by the Vice Chancellor of this university will be the apex body to promote research development, and innovation ecosystem in this university.

Departmental Research Committee shall tune up the ideas of the research aspirants and will provide necessary access to the research by conducting discussion for allotment of guides

Doctoral Committees consist of experts who take the responsibility of brainstorming the research ideas of the scholar into socially contributing research titles, and may also monitor the progress of the scholar throughout the programs.

Research Guides: Expert guidance for scholars is given by recognized guides of this university.

Research Coordinators function as the hub of all research activities at this university

All the research documents are evaluated by Urkundsoftware and the Doctoral thesis is evaluated with examiners from abroad, outside the state, and within the state.

Placement cells function as an important supporting center of the Incubation Centre for career advancement

Playfields: shall be utilized by the research aspirants for developing new techniques; new protocols and strategies in training the sports persons; to increase the performance of the athletes.

Laboratories: shall function as supporting sub-centers of the incubation center and open to all the research aspirants.

Conferences, Seminars, and Workshops are organized and attended by faculties and scholars to add new scientific knowledge.

Multiple Open Discussions are organized to provide a conducive research environment and open for such meaningful discussions

The RUSA Coordinator will encourage the aspirants with available facilities and funds

IQAC Coordinator motivates the aspirants for quality efforts

The coordinator for Laboratories will extend the facilities to the aspirins based on requirements through the concerned laboratory in-charges.

Coordinators for Start-up and Incubation Centres may identify the talents among the students and scholars by organizing various talent-hunting and awareness programs and they will create a linkage between aspirants and institutions/ industries.

The coordinator for the Cell for Competitive Examinations will organize the periodical classes to promote and channel the talents of aspirants.

The coordinator for Students Welfare Services will explain and extend the welfare schemes to the students and scholars

The coordinator for the Women Empowerment Centre will ensure the proper training and facilities for women's empowerment.

The coordinator for Value Added Courses may organise job-oriented innovative value-added courses for the students.

The coordinator for the Skill Development Centre may skill development courses for the students and aspirants

The coordinator for the Library Services and Documentation Centre will help them in documentation and effective use of Library facilities to horn the skills of students and aspirants

Coordinator for Intellectual Property Rights and Plagiarism Check Cell will periodically organize workshops/seminars/ symposia on IPR and genuineness in research writings.

The coordinator for the Counselling Cell will give counseling to the needy to overcome their obstacles.

The coordinator for Cell for Career Guidance will periodically organize workshops/seminars/ symposia on Career Opportunities

The coordinator for Outdoor and Indoor Playfields will extend the facilities to the aspirins based on requirements through the concerned play field charge.

The coordinator for the Placement Cell may invite and organize campus interviews and also prepare students for the campus interview.

Director for sports the center for differently abled co-ordinates trains the Coaches, and prepares the Para- Olympians, and Special Olympians with the modern training schedule.

High-Performance training center, to select talented sports persons to realize their maximum potential and to achieve laurels for the State and Nation.

The director of the leadership training center is the one who prepares modules synergizing the future leaders as great citizens.

Management Information System - The Centre for Information, which is the nodal centre for managing the Technology, will act as the Nodal Office to organize of implement Hackathon Projects collaborating intensively on software Projects.

Sports Scientific Support Centre- A center with well-established Research equipment helps to get Authentic data for analysis which can create a platform for Action research and Human Performance analysis.
