The university offers four well-ventilated and tidy hostels catering to both male and female students. Each hostel is equipped with common room amenities, including a colored television, newspapers, and magazines, as well as facilities for table tennis, carom, and other recreational activities. Cooperative and contractual mess services are provided, and students have access to milk from the university dairy farm at subsidized rates. The hostels are equipped with 24-hour internet facilities through WIFI networking. Hostel management is overseen by Hostel Superintendents under the guidance of the Dean of Students Welfare.
Occupying a comprehensive floor space of 300 sq. m. in the basement, the university library houses a specialized collection of 33,000 documents in fields such as Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Poultry Science, Biotechnology, Fishery, and related subjects. The collection includes books, theses, periodicals, standards, reprints, maps, toposheets, globes, and CD-ROMs. The library continually expands, acquiring an average of 500 volumes per year.
Given the advancements at the cellular and molecular levels, and the contemporary era of information and molecular biotechnology, the establishment of advanced analytical laboratory facilities has become imperative. To provide extensive practical exposure and hands-on training to postgraduate students, and to foster advanced research in emerging areas such as molecular biology and biotechnology, the Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL) was established in 2008 in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, with financial support from ICAR, New Delhi.
The university features a Health Center that caters to the health needs of both students and staff. Operating under the supervision of the Dean of Student Welfare, the health center is staffed with a medical practitioner and pharmacist who attends to the healthcare requirements of the university community.
