The University Of Horticultural Sciences welcomes students from diverse backgrounds to participate in its programs, offering nine major specializations. The admission procedures at the University of Horticulture encompass the following components:
For undergraduate entry into the B.Sc (Horticulture) program, admission is facilitated through KEA CET. The selection criteria involve obtaining a minimum of 25% marks in the qualifying exam and securing 50% marks in the entrance test. The list of meritorious candidates is prepared based on these criteria for final admission consideration.

For postgraduate entry into the M.Sc (Horticulture) program, candidates can undergo the CET test conducted by Universities within Karnataka. Additionally, 25% of seats are reserved under the ICAR allocation for students from states other than Karnataka. The final admission process takes into account a balanced evaluation, considering 50% of marks from the qualifying test and 50% of marks from the entrance test.
Doctoral admission to the PhD (Horticulture) program is facilitated through CET conducted by the Farm Universities in Karnataka. Preferences are given to 50% of applicants based on their performance in the qualifying exam, while 45% is attributed to the entrance test. The remaining 5% is allocated to candidates who have successfully passed the ICAR and CSIR Fellowship Examination.
