Library:

The Institute has a well-developed library serving trainees, students, and researchers in their pursuit of knowledge. The library is well equipped with a collection of books numbering around 50000. It has the richest collection of books & journals on ‘Cooperation’ in the entire nation hence researchers across India visit this knowledge center for study/research purposes. The Library also contains books and journals collected on allied subjects like Cooperation in India & Abroad, Cooperative Agriculture, Cooperative Banking, Management, Economics, Banking, Agriculture, Law, Social Sciences, Marketing and H.R, Rural Development, Training, Political Science, History and many other books on different subjects areas. The library has 140 Research Journals at the National and International levels and 5000 bound volumes of core journals have been maintained in the library. Apart from it 20 magazines & 12 Newspapers in different languages are subscribed to the library for general readings. 

E-Library:

The E-Resource Holdings of the library: Economic Outlook – It’s fully economy-related data by CMIE. It covers topics like National Accounts, Inflation, Money and Banking, Public Finance, External Sector, Foreign Trade, Agriculture, Energy, Investments, Corporate Sector, Capital Markets, Consumers, Employment, etc Further it gives Statistical Forecasts & scholarly articles published on the economy. It gives various full-text documents as part of it. The data is derived from very authentic sources.

Ebsco Business Source Elite Plus:

This database provides full-text coverage of top business, management, and economics journals which are covering topics such as accounting, banking, finance, international business, and marketing. eg. Harvard Business Review, Decision, California Management Review. It also contains Harvard Faculty Videos, Various Company Reports, etc. It gives regional business news updates and topical video content. eBooks Business Core Collection ( e-Books Collection )- Full text 10,000 e-books related to subjects like management, business, etc are available on the same link of EBSCOhost as above.

Indiastat:

It gives Socio-Economic statistical information about India. The Statistical information relating to topics such as – Agriculture, Banks and Financial Institutions, Companies, Cooperatives, Economy, Law, Foreign Trade, Market Forecast ( 2015-2025 ), Economy, Rural and Urban areas, social and Welfare Schemes, etc is available along with socio-economic news update.

Management Training And Education:

VAMNICOM has six Centres, viz. Centre for Cooperative Management, (CCM), Centre for Management Education (CME), Centre for Information Technology (CIT), Centre for Research & Publication, Centre for Gender Studies (CGS), and Centre for Management Development Programmes (CMDP), and these Centres conduct short-duration Executive/Management Development Programmes for Senior/Top Level Officials/non-officials of the co-operative sector. Orientation training programs are also organized for sponsored officers from the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), the Indian Forest Services (IFS), and the Chairman and Managing Directors of National levels Co-operative Organisations like the National Co-operative Development Corporation(NCDC), Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Limited (IFFCO), Krishak Bharti Co-operative Limited (KRIBHCO)and Apex Level Co-operative Banks and other Co-operative Institutions, NGOs, etc. and also get conducted training programs on request from user organizations to fulfill their training needs. The Institute undertakes sponsored need-based programs and on-the-spot programs.

International Collaborations:

VAMNICOM Collaborates with various international agencies/organizations like the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA), International Labour Organisation (ILO), Food & Agricultural Organisation, (FAO), and NICD Srilanka, etc., we also conduct Exchange programs in collaboration with the Department of International Technical and Economic Co-operation (ITEC), Ministry of External Affairs and offer training programs for senior executives from co-operatives in developing countries. The Institute has also been an active promoter in the establishment of the Centre for International Co-operation and Training in Agricultural Banking (CICTAB) which is engaged in imparting training in the field of agricultural/rural banking to professionals from SAARC countries. Training Of Trainers:

With a View to nurturing required skills at the middle and junior management levels, VAMNICOM provides active support and guidance to the 14 state-level institutes of Co-operative Management (ICMs) and the 5 Regional Institute of Co-operative Management (RICMs) through Faculty Development Programmes, in preparation of training materials and dissemination of information on technology.
