Admission Criteria for BDS Course

Candidates meeting the stipulated criteria are eligible for admission to the BDS course and must ensure their certificates are verified according to the schedule notified by the University. 

Nationality and Domicile:

The candidate must be an Indian National, Person of Indian Origin (PIO), or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). They should fulfill the local or non-local status requirements as per Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order, 1974.

Educational Qualifications:

Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination completion with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology, and English is mandatory. 

Required marks for different categories:

1. OC candidates: Not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
2. BC/SC/ST candidates: Not less than 40% marks in science subjects.
3. OC PH candidates: Not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
4. The candidate must achieve the specified cutoff scores in the NEET UG examination.

Eligibility based on Domicile (Andhra Pradesh / Telangana):

The candidate should comply with local/non-local status as per specified government orders.

Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only, whereas local candidates can avail of 15% unreserved seats and 85% local seats.

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates will be conducted by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, based on the Government of Andhra Pradesh's regulations. 

Entrance Examination:

Admission decisions will consider the student's performance in the NEET followed by counseling.

Eligibility Criteria for MDS Course

Eligibility criteria for MDS course admission are as follows:

Qualification and NEET PG Scores:

Candidates should secure the required cutoff scores in the NEET PG Entrance examination.

Those who have completed their internship should submit the internship completion certificate. If yet to be completed, a provisional completion certificate is required.

Educational Background:

Possession of a BDS degree from this university or any recognized institution is mandatory.

Candidates who have completed MBBS/BDS from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India are also eligible.

Nationality:

The candidate must be an Indian National/PIO/OCI cardholder.

Entrance Examination and Selection:

The selection procedure will be conducted by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, following the guidelines set by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Admission decisions for both BDS and MDS courses are contingent on compliance with specified criteria and NEET scores, overseen by the University as per government regulations.
