Vivekananda Institute Of Technology Admission

Admission to the B.Tech program at RIET is based on the merit secured by candidates in their 10+2 examinations, followed by REAP Counseling. Shortlisted candidates, whose names appear on the REAP Merit List, are required to participate in the counseling process.

REAP counseling occurs in multiple rounds. Candidates must register themselves for this counseling by visiting the official website and completing an application form.

Candidates who have obtained a valid rank in the JEE Main exam are given preference during the admission process.

Admissions to our B.Tech. courses are conducted through counseling, based on the rank obtained in the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), held annually by the Rajasthan Board of Technical Education.

Educational Qualification Criteria:

a.) Candidates must pass Class XII with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Non-Creamy Layer OBC/Non-Creamy Layer SBC categories of Rajasthan state) in subjects including Maths, Physics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer/Biology taken together, from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

b.) Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2020 are provisionally allowed to participate in REAP-2020. However, they will be eligible for subsequent counseling and admission only if they meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above. These candidates need to provide proof of eligibility during the submission of the prescribed Option Form. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature.

Vivekananda Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech Admission:

All candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in the subjects combination of Maths and Physics, with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science in the final examination of 10+2 from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, or any other equivalent board. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/SBC categories, the required percentage is 40%.

For Lateral Entry Admission (Admission in Engineering for Direct Lateral Admissions to II Year B.Tech.):

All candidates must attain a minimum of 45% marks in their Diploma. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/SBC categories, this percentage is reduced to 40%.

The preference order for candidates is as follows:

  1. Candidates who have completed their Diploma from the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur, or universities in Rajasthan.
  2. Bonafide residents of Rajasthan with a Diploma from the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur, or from other state Boards of Technical Education.
  3. Candidates holding Diplomas from other State Boards of Technical Education, not covered in the previous point.
