Infrastructure and Facilities:

V. O. Chidambaram College has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from V. O. Chidambaram College, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of V. O. Chidambaram College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library:

A. P. C. Veerabahu Memorial Library, which started with 1,809 books in 1951, now has around 60 thousand books and journals. The number is increasing every year. All books are classified under "Colon Classification". Several volumes of 'Book Catalogue' are maintained up to date. A database of books has also been created on the computer and the book issue has been computerized. A computer with a touchscreen facility has been kept in the library for the perusal of visitors. The building is exclusively designed and constructed for the library with the financial assistance of the University Grants Commission. The plinth area of the building is 460 sqm. (43 m X 10.70 m). The bust of Kulapathi A. P. C. Veerabahu has been installed in front of the Library. There is a photo gallery opposite A. P. C. Veerabahu Memorial Library, in memory of our Founder Secretary.

Cafeteria:

The college cafeteria is the pulse of the campus. It is a spacious area that provides a wide range of hygienic food at affordable prices. It is a popular hub on the campus not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding and discussions.

Sports:

The Department of Physical Education of V. O. Chidambaram College has an excellent infrastructure to meet the sporting requirements and regular physical exercise. The University has a newly constructed indoor auditorium meant for shuttle badminton, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, and carom. The fitness gym is one of the top-class facilities constructed & maintained by the Department of Physical Education of V. O. Chidambaram College. This gym is installed with the latest gym equipment of the highest standard. In addition to this, the University has the following facilities.

Garden:

The Garden is maintained by the gardener. Regular pruning and watering of trees, plants, and potted plants are done by the gardener.

Laboratories:

The devices and safety structures in the Laboratories are taken care of with trained personnel. The lab attendant sets up, calibrates, and performs minor maintenance on all the laboratory equipment. Logs regarding the inventory of items, damaged and lost items are maintained by the attendants and are supervised by the faculty. The rainwater tank is maintained on an annual basis with a check on leaks and debris. Fire extinguishers are established in laboratories and are maintained at regular intervals.

Faculty:

The faculty of the college is appointed with a focus on the quality education of students. They are well qualified and trained with great experience. They have good command over their respective subjects. They also encourage and help students.
