UG Selection Procedure:
B.A. Selection Procedure:
Admission to the B.A. program is solely based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination.
B.B.A. Selection Procedure:
Candidates are selected based on their marks in the 10+2 examination followed by an interview upon shortlisting.
B.Com. Selection Procedure:
The college declares a merit list based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. Shortlisted candidates must bring their original documents and attend the interview process.
BSc. Selection Procedure:
Candidates are shortlisted based on their marks in the 10+2 examination and are subsequently called for an interview.
PG Selection Procedure:
M.A. Selection Procedure:
Admission to the M.A. program depends on the marks obtained in the B.A. degree. The college declares a shortlist based on this criterion, and shortlisted candidates must attend an interview after bringing their original documents.
M.Com. Selection Procedure:
Similar to the M.A. program, admission to the M.Com. program is based on the marks obtained in the B.Com. degree. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview with their original documents.
MSc. Selection Procedure:
Candidates need to fill out the application form provided by the college. The shortlisting process is based on the marks obtained in the relevant subject during the Bachelor's degree. Shortlisted candidates must bring their original documents and attend an interview.
Application Process at V.O. Chidambaram College:
- Candidates should identify their desired course and check their eligibility for application.
- Applicants who have completed the Tamilnadu Higher Secondary Courses or equivalent recognized by the University of Madras are eligible for admission.
- For admission to Postgraduate courses (PG), candidates must have completed a 3-year degree course recognized by the University.
- Prescribed application forms for B.A., B.Com., B.Sc and PG Courses are available at the College Office.
- Original certificates should not be enclosed with the application. However, photocopies of various documents such as qualifying examination mark sheets, passport-size photographs, eligibility certificates, transfer certificates, and community certificates (if applicable) must be submitted with the filled-in application form.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Candidates selected for interviews must be prepared to pay fees within the specified time if they are offered admission.
- Original certificates must be presented at the time of admission; failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission.
